Recovery, by-product and end-of-waste are not the same thing

A better recovery route does not automatically change the material’s legal status.

A material can be recovered while still being waste. By-product or end-of-waste status is a separate regulatory question that depends on the facts and evidence. Where that distinction matters, we connect the commercial route with the appropriate technical work.

Do you only work with materials that have a positive value?

No. A better route may mean lower treatment cost, greater outlet security, increased recovery or a higher-value market. The commercial objective depends on the stream.

Can you work with hazardous or technically difficult streams?

Potentially, subject to the material and available authorised routes. Classification, analysis and processor capability become especially important for difficult streams.

Do you manage the route after a trial?

Yes. For suitable recurring streams, ongoing brokerage and route management are part of the model rather than stopping once an outlet has been identified.
